Candace teaches all levels of American style ballroom dancing...

American style is focused on getting you feeling confident and comfortable on the dance floor as soon as possible.

The alternate is called International style ballroom which is much more technical and competition driven requiring the dedication of many years and investment.

A wonderful world awaits those who are driven to be amongst the best of the best.

However, if your goal is to learn and enjoy social (partner) dancing as quickly and cost efficiently as possible, then American Style is the way to go. Candace will teach you all you need to know to hold your own on the dance floor in a short amount of time.

Candace Zanini
Founder/Instructor

Candace has been teaching ballroom dancing for over 30 years. With her combined passion for dance and her 10 year adventure at sea as a cruise director for Royal Caribbean cruise lines, she has had the opportunity to learn from the very best all over the world. She has had her own dance studio in Port Coquitlam BC for many years and now shares her passion of dance with her students here in Burlington her home town.

“My passion for dance started in 1988 when I walked into an Arthur Murray dance studio for the first time to try out ballroom dancing. I knew it was for me right away. From the way I felt on the dance floor with my instructor to becoming an instructor myself teaching people that special language we call dance, this feeling is something I wanted for a lifetime. I also knew the price tag involved with taking lesson in private dance schools was high so I set out to teach the community to dance in a budget friendly way. Why should something you love to do cost so much? It shouldn’t, it’s that simple. There is nothing that I love more than sharing the joy of ballroom dancing - expressing yourself with graceful, elegant movement, truly connecting with your partner while enjoying great music.”

Testimonials

I always wanted to try line dancing but hesitated, worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up with more experienced dancers. That changed when a friend told me about classes led by Candace Zanini Dance at St. Christopher’s Church in Burlington. I decided to give it a shot—and I’m so glad I did. Candace is a phenomenal instructor. She creates such a welcoming, supportive environment that I felt comfortable from day one. Whether you're a complete beginner or more advanced, she meets you where you are. Thanks to her guidance, I now confidently attend both beginner and intermediate classes. Joining this class has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Not only have I discovered a new passion, but I’ve also made wonderful new friends. Thank you, Candace, for your patience, encouragement, and infectious love of dance!

I gave lessons with Candace for my friends first dance at their wedding. Candace‘s ability to assess their level and work out achievable choreography was the best decision. They were both so happy!
